Bobbi Decker welcomes back HOA expert Jacquie Berry to finish up their discussion about Homeowner Associations. First off Jacquie will quickly review the purpose of HOA’s and association appraisals and re-explain master and subset documentations. Bobbi and Jacquie then continue from their previous show discussing several topics including:

  • The HOA operating and reserve budgets
  • Three governing documents for FHA and VA loans
  • The Davis-Stirling Act which governs California’s HOA associations

Jacquie also responds to a text from Bill who questions the effectiveness of homeowner associations with less expensive pool or blanket insurance, yet have trouble getting loans through Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and the FHA.
